Curriculum vitae

Janice Atkinson, a former Conservative, admirer of Margaret Thatcher, who inspired her to go into politics, and stood for the Conservatives in the 2010 General Election, was elected an MEP in 2014.

She passionately believes that Britain will be a greater nation if it leaves the EU and campaigns for Brexit. Brexit will re-shape the EU, giving other nations the chance to work together as trading nations, not the current undemocratic soviet dictatorship.

In the European Parliament she sits on the justice and immigration and gender equality committees.

She would like Britain to take back control of its borders and to be able to welcome the brightest and best workers from around the world, according to UK needs, including the Commonwealth, and to offer genuine refugees asylum, rather than the current system where cheap Labour affects workers’ salaries and unemployment.
